Privacy Policy – Aura

This Privacy Policy explains how Nexibrain Technologies ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information in the Aura mobile application (Aura: Daily Affirmations Boost). It applies to Aura only; our other applications are covered by their own policies.

Aura contains no advertising SDK and displays no ads.

1. Information We Collect

Account data

Aura uses anonymous accounts only. No sign-up is required, and we never collect your name, email address or any contact details.

Analytics data

We use PostHog (hosted in the European Union) to understand how the app is used: screens viewed, features used, app version, platform, language, and the preferences you select during onboarding (such as your goals and the topics you want to work on). This data is linked to a random anonymous identifier. Your IP address is processed to derive an approximate location (country/city) for aggregate statistics.

Purchase data

We use RevenueCat to process in-app subscriptions (Aura Premium). RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt, product identifiers and subscription status in order to validate your Premium access and restore it on your other devices. We never see or store your payment details, which are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

Advertising attribution data

We use AppsFlyer, a mobile measurement partner, to understand which of our advertising campaigns (on networks such as Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat) led you to install the app. AppsFlyer processes your device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS — only with your explicit permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt — or Google Advertising ID on Android), IP address, device model, and app events such as install and app open.

On iOS, if you decline the tracking prompt, no advertising identifier is collected and attribution falls back to Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork. Measuring our own advertising is the only purpose for which Aura uses tracking. Aura serves no ads.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, we store a push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), your language and your time zone offset so that we can send notifications at a relevant time for you. Your daily affirmation reminders are scheduled locally on your device: the number of reminders and the time range you choose are computed on your phone and are not sent to a server.

What we never collect

Your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, and any text you write in the app — personal affirmations, collections and goals. That content stays on your device only.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Operate, maintain and improve the app (analytics, crash diagnostics).
• Personalize the affirmations, reminders and widgets shown to you, based on the preferences you select.
• Manage your subscription and restore your purchases across your devices.
• Measure our advertising campaigns and their return on investment.
• Send the notifications you asked for.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with the processors listed above — PostHog, RevenueCat, AppsFlyer and Google Firebase — who process it on our behalf.

For advertising measurement, AppsFlyer shares attribution data with the ad networks we work with (Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat) so that they can measure the performance of our campaigns. Aura shares no data with any advertising network for the purpose of displaying ads, because the app displays none.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide the service and to comply with our legal obligations. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form, and deleting the app stops any further collection.

5. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability.

Because Aura uses anonymous accounts, we generally cannot identify you from the data we hold. To exercise your rights, contact us at contact@nexibrain.com; we may ask you for your anonymous identifier so that we can locate the relevant records. Requests are handled within 30 days.

You can also, at any time and directly from your device: disable notifications, revoke the App Tracking Transparency permission in your iOS settings, reset your advertising identifier, or delete the app — which removes all locally stored content.

6. Revocation of Consent

If you have given consent for the processing of your personal data, you can revoke it at any time by turning off the corresponding permission on your device, or by contacting us at contact@nexibrain.com

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss or misuse. Data in transit is encrypted.

8. Children

Aura is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
